MATCH PREVIEW: Inter Miami CF to Take on Philadelphia Union at Home This Saturday

This Saturday, Inter Miami CF will look to secure their first win of the season at home when they take on the Philadelphia Union. It will be the first meeting between the two clubs and the match will provide Philadelphia with an opportunity to avenge their loss to fellow MLS club Orlando City last week. Miami, who is currently at the bottom of the table with two points, will be eager to put forth a strong showing in front of their home fans at Lockhart Stadium.

This will be the first match week of the season in which Phil Neville’s men will be playing at home and the first match of the season in which they will not be on the road facing an Eastern Conference opponent. Miami has yet to win a match this season, but they have played well in stretches of each match and find themselves in positions to win. Their fortunes have not yet turned, but there is reason to believe that the tide is turning. Philadelphia, meanwhile, will look to continue their strong start to the season, having secured 4 points in their first three matches.

Neville has emphasized the importance of getting results at home this season, and sees the match as the perfect opportunity to get things going in the right direction. “The fans have been brilliant in our home games so far, and they were sorely missed in our last match against NYC. Their support is vital to us, and we want to deliver a performance that makes them proud and gets us three points,” he said. “Every game is must-win, but this one feels especially important as it’s our first at home. We want to make Lockhart Stadium a fortress, and nothing would be better than getting our first win of the season in front of our fans.”
