Nikola Jokic’s Behavior Before Nuggets Game is Turning Heads
It’s not every day that you see a basketball player casually strolling into the arena on horseback before a game. But that’s exactly what Nikola Jokic did last night, and his bold move is turning heads around the league.
The Denver Nuggets star was spotted riding into the arena in a promotional video for the team’s upcoming game against the Miami Heat, wearing a cowboy hat and chaps, and swinging a lasso over his head like a cowboy from an old Western movie.
While the promotion was certainly quirky and unique, it also raised some questions and concerns about whether or not Jokic is taking the game too lightly. The Nuggets are currently in a tight playoff race in the Western Conference, and they can’t afford to let off the gas, especially not against a team like the Heat, who are also fighting for a spot in the postseason.
But for Jokic, it seems like the fun is also an essential part of the game. “I’m a cowboy, baby!” he exclaimed in the video, flashing a big smile. “That’s how we roll in Denver, partner!” he added, clearly enjoying the role.
Only time will tell if Jokic’s quirky pre-game ritual will pay off on the court. But one thing is for sure: the Joker sure knows how to make an entrance.
