Two Phoenix Mercury players will participate in the Cornhole Charity Competition presented by SAHARA Las Vegas on Friday, August 5, at the Henderson Pavilion in Henderson, Nevada.

Mercury teammates Sophie Cunningham and Sam Thomas will form a team and compete against other local celebrities, including former Las Vegas Raiders player Jay Lee, former Las Vegas Aces star Danielle Adams, and former Arizona Diamondbacks player Brad Penny.

The event is being presented by SAHARA Las Vegas and will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. Tickets are on sale now and donations made during the event will directly impact the local community, with all proceeds going towards helping kids in the area.

The evening will also include a DJ, a live auction, a 50/50 raffle, and food and drink options available for purchase. A portion of the casino proceeds from SAHARA Las Vegas in July will also benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada serves more than 50,000 kids annually, providing after-school and summer programs that ensure the area’s youth have a safe and enriching place to go, with more than 80% of its members living below the federal poverty line.
