Steph exits Warriors game with pelvic contusion after scary fall
Warriors star Stephen Curry left Monday’s game against the Boston Celtics with a pelvic contusion, which occurred after a scary fall in the second quarter.
Curry drove to the basket on a fast break and was hit in the abdomen by Celtics big man Marcus Smart. Curry stumbled back and fell onto his tailbone, with Smart inadvertently falling on top of him.
The Warriors star stayed down for a few moments in clear pain before slowly getting to his feet and shooting his free throws. He checked out of the game shortly thereafter with 1:01 left in the first half and did not return.
The Warriors say Curry is doubtful for Tuesday’s game in Philadelphia against the 76ers.
